Stanford freshman Samantha Thomas won the women's 400-meter hurdles in 1:01.85 at the Stanford Invitational at Cobb Track and Angell Field. Thomas benefited from Washington's Darhian Mills (1:07.41) clipping the final hurdle to rally for the victory, improving on her previous-best 1:02.17 effort March 20 at Sacramento State.
