Hannah Rutherford, a junior at Mountain View High in California, won the girls 400 meters in 55.05 seconds at the Stanford Invitational at Cobb Track and Angell Field in Palo Alto, Calif. Rutherford improved from placing second last season at Stanford in 55.65 seconds.
